Are You Ready To Be Coached?
Now obviously, I value the presence and skill of a good coach.
I pride myself on being a great provider of both inspiration and information for the moms that I work with and I am grateful for the opportunity to support them on their journey. But occasionally, I come in contact with a mom who is not quite ready for coaching.
What does that mean?
It means that there are times in our lives when we are ready to move to the next level and times when we are still comfortable enough that we are not willing to move.
In order for you to get the best out of your coaching experience it's important that you know when you're NOT ready as much as it is that you know when you are.
You're NOT ready for coaching until you are ready to ask, and answer some tough questions about yourself, and the business you intend to start. You're NOT ready for coaching until you've committed to the process of personal and professional development. And you're NOT ready for coaching until you are fully in a coachable state of mind.
How can you prepare for a great coach like myself? I'm so glad you asked.
Coaching is an investment and I never advise wasting money, so to prepare for your first session, your coach will likely have you complete a intake survey of some sort. I offer my clients my FREE ebook, Grace Starts, which takes them on a journey of self-exploration and begins some of the processing that I will help guide. Other coaches may have an electronic submission form or even correspond with you via email to gain some preliminary information. Give yourself enough time to complete what is requested of you and even ask your best constructive criticism provider to give you some feedback.
If you're thinking you're ready here are 5 questions you can ask to be a little more sure.
- Who do you want to serve with your business?
- What gift do you have to serve them with?
- When will you take your company live?
- Why are you the BEST person to deliver this service?
- How will you let your public know what you have to offer?
If you've got good solid answers to these questions or if you've worked your way through the Grace Starts Ebook, reach out and let's chat over a cup of coffee. My FREE clarity sessions are designed to help you take these results to the next level. Once you've done this work, we know you're ready to be coached.
