Like most school age kids these days, when she was in kindergarten my youngest had a nightly reading goal. Her teacher had them turn in the log which included a list of the books they had read. This was one of her logs.
It's been some years but I've saved this picture so I can always remember that my daughter was not only happy to read her Bible, but that she was also happy to let her little light shine as she shared that she had been reading the Bible with her teacher and friends.
She didn't have this adorable FaithGirlz NIV Backpack Bible then, but I'd like to think it might have made her even more excited to share if she had.
When I was offered a chance to review this Bible, I knew that my daughter would love it. Aside from her loving having her own Bible, that is not the storybook version, but a REAL one, it was also perfectly sized for her and her backpack or purse and oh so adorable. The leatherlike binding and details make her feel special and more excited to show off what she's reading.
Being that she is my youngest, I know how important, and challenging, it can be to keep your kids connected to the Word. There are so many perfectly marketed yet unfulfilling books targeting young girls these days I absolutely LOVE the attention they've given to making this Bible something girls will want to carry. We may not want to judge a book by it's cover, but knowing the treasure inside this one, I'm happy this new twist is helping keep my daughter looking at the right things.
