Over the course of the 30 day Choose Happy Challenge, you've likely had some good days and some not so good ones.
How you move forward depends on you.
But it's that how life is in general? Whatever comes at us day in and day out, we have to choose how we will respond. I hope that you've kept up with all 30 days, but even if you haven't you can absolutely keep making better choices toward your happiness right now.
Each time you opened an email from me, you got a little happiness nugget or boost of inspiration. It is important to stimulate your mind on a regular basis, whether it's taking on a new challenge or just reading something that makes you think. Keep an eye out for people who inspire you on social media and keep feeding your brain.
Meditation is another fantastic way to improve your mind and body. It can give you a great boost of mental energy. As you meditate it is important to focus on what you are doing. Leave any work or personal issues out of your thoughts. Yoga is a great way to get in meditation along with some physical exercise.
Remember to say no when necessary and yes as often as you can. Keep your priorities straight and let your words line up with your actions. Knowing when to say yes and no will keep you happier in the long run. Work on those things that you are passionate about. Kick dreaded volunteer duties to the curb, live the life that you want and you're more likely to be happy.
One of the worst things anyone can do is to keep living in the past. This only causes you to think negatively, and it can lead to severe depression. Learn to let the past go and live in the present. Instead of wishing things were different choose what changes you actually control and make things different.
We all deserve happiness, but no different that our weekly paycheck, we will only have what we actually go out and get. Continue to choose happy and you won't help but see the results everyday!
