What is a family coach? I'm so glad you asked. I like to think of myself as a super qualified cheerleader for your family. I get to help you and the ones you love live a great life.
Everyday, I help families tackle bad behavior, strained relationships and overwhelming stress.
Does this sound like you? You start your morning with a racing mind full of your jam-packed to do list. Then there's the kids. If you're not shuttling them from place to place, you're worried about whether or not they have good friends, cleaning up after them or arguing with your hubby about what time they should go to bed or if they should get the new cell phone they're begging for, all while they gripe at each other and tell you you're the worst mom in the world. The romantic honeymoon nights you and your husband once shared have turned into long battles over budget and in-law disputes which end with you both falling asleep not into each others arms. Even though you've made great strides in your career, at home you feel like a failure. You've lost yourself in motherhood. You spend more of your time managing your family than you do enjoying them. And at the end of the night, you're not even sure you're managing them well. This life is more overwhelming and isolating than you ever imagined and the rest of the world seems to have it all figured out.
I get it, totally been there.
I'm a wife, mother of four daughters, and mimi to two precious grandsons. Years ago, when my oldest daughter was struggling with anxiety and my husband and I were trying to figure out how to manage a family of six on what felt like a non-existent budget, I made a decision to step out of my comfort zone and visit a behavior coach who helped us create a plan for our family that saved our marriage and my sanity.
Later while I was working as a school counselor, my specialty was helping teachers manage behaviors by building relationships and teaching self-regulation. Along the way, I came in contact with families who were struggling the same way I had been all those years ago. I LOVE helping families get back on track and I'm ready to help you.
I work with families in 3 ways.
- One on One VIP sessions; in person at my Indianapolis office or via Zoom conference call
- Group sessions; in person at my Indianapolis office or via Facebook, next group starting 1/28/18
- Workshops; at your school, church or community center
